Description

This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Band 3 base position

Job Overview
Manages the daily operations of the FrontCounter BC regional office(s).  Leads, coordinates, and supports a team of staff who provide service delivery to the public for natural resource application processing.  Ensures team members have sufficient technical expertise and training, are current in best client service practices, can apply a range of strategies to meet client needs, and leads or supports program improvement and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public sector management, public administration or natural resources and three (3) years of related experience* working with the resource sector, customer service delivery programs, and working directly with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders OR 
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and related experience* may be considered.

*Related experience must include all of the following:

  • Experience leading projects and implementing project outcomes to improve business processes and achieve results.
  • Staff management experience, including performance and attendance management, scheduling, coaching and mentoring
  • Experience in financial management and human resource management.
  • Experience developing and maintaining working relationships and resolving problems with stakeholders in natural resource management or infrastructure development.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Staff management experience in a union setting.
