Description

The Team:

This established team builds strong, respectful relationships with youth, families, and community partners—including Indigenous Nations and agencies, schools, police, and health professionals—while centering inclusion, cultural safety, and equity in their work. You’ll join a collaborative group that values patience, creativity, and outreach, and takes pride in making a meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of the young people they serve.

The Role
As a Child Protection Worker on the Youth First Team at MCFD, you lead guardianship and protection work for youth by making day-to-day care decisions, coordinating supports, responding to crises, and creating inclusive plans that reflect each young person’s health, education, family, and cultural needs. You build strong, trusted relationships and advocate for equitable outcomes, helping youth navigate complex situations and transition confidently into adulthood. This role offers meaningful, rewarding work where you celebrate both big milestones and small wins—whether it’s a graduation, a cultural ceremony, or a step forward in a youth’s journey.
