Job Overview
For Security Screening: processes criminal record check requests received for CRRP, PSSO, ESS, and PE-CRC; maintains procedural manuals, develops and maintains training plans, and may provide training to new Client Service Agents. The position also provides expert advice on program policies and procedures to client service agents and stakeholders, and reviews, verifies and recommends approval of refunds.
For Security Services Licensing Unit (SSLU): processes various applications received for SSP, MDRP, PPRECP, GDSDP, BACP, and AVAMCCP; maintains procedural manuals, develops and maintains training plans, and provides training to new Client Service Agents. Reviews, verifies and recommends approval of refunds. The position also provides expert advice on program policies and procedures to client service agents and stakeholders.
This position may be required to act as supervisor in the supervisor’s absence.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation (Grade 12) or equivalent (GED).
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations or policies
- Experience providing client service in an adversarial environment.
- Experience responding to a variety of inquiries and requests for information from the public and stakeholders.
- Experience in word processing and utilizing multiple systems or data bases concurrently.
Preference may be given to candidates with: - 6 months or more experience working for SPD.
- Experience working in a regulatory environment.
- Experience writing and delivering training material to colleagues/peers
