The Team:
The Conservation Officer Service (COS) brings together dedicated professionals who operate at the intersection of public safety, natural resource protection, and complex law enforcement. Whether in the field or behind the scenes, team members use specialized training and tools to investigate, respond, and enforce across more than thirty-three statutes, working side by side with trusted government and sector partners. It’s a team defined by purpose, collaboration, and a shared commitment to protecting British Columbia’s people, wildlife, and landscapes.

As the Senior Administrative and Investigation Assistant, you provide critical coordination, expert administrative support, and trusted handling of complex, sensitive information that underpins investigative and enforcement work. Balancing shifting priorities with precision and professionalism, this role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully, while supporting both the people and the processes that protect public safety and natural resources across British Columbia.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Base Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or certificate) in office/business, or public administration and one (1) year of related experience; OR,
- A combination of secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED) and three (3) or more years of related work experience may be considered.
Related experience must include the following:
- Experience working in an administrative role in an office environment.
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment, with geographically dispersed staff.
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook at an advanced level.
- Experience working in an administrative role in a law enforcement setting.

About this Position:
There is currently one (1) permanent, full time position available.
This position can be located in either Mission or Squamish.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies in Mission or Squamish.
Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
