Job Overview
The Project Management Advisor leads complex, high-profile projects, business missions, and events that support trade, investment, and relationships with partners in Canada and around the world. Working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government representatives, clients, vendors, and international partners, this role manages multiple projects at once and ensures they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. The position values inclusive engagement, effective communication, and relationship-building to support successful outcomes across a variety of sectors, communities, and perspectives.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration or related field.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Two (2) years’ recent and related experience (defined as experience within the last 10 years) which must include:
-
Experience working in a highly confidential environment, dealing with sensitive issues/materials.
-
Experience managing complex large or multiple medium scale high profile missions or events (in-person and virtual options) of political sensitivity that have multiple project delivery components.
-
Experience managing relationships with senior government officials and stakeholders and leading consultation sessions.
-
Experience leading medium-sized cross ministry teams of government staff and including third party vendors/suppliers (domestic and/or international).

Experience with procurement of vendors and/or suppliers in domestic and international markets to meet fiscal policy compliance requirements.

Experience independently planning and executing major public facing events and/or missions characteristic of product launches, major sales initiatives, government or business leader/delegation visits or tours.

Experience with on-site management of major events, including oversight and execution of all key components of the plan, including issue resolution and interaction with high profile clients.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

Experience working on mission and event management, project management, survey and other on-line management and/or collaboration platforms.

About this Position:

One (1) Position is available in Vancouver.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to three (3) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
