This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Grid 21 base position.
Job Overview
Under the Provincial Immigration Programs Act, this role is critical to the administration of WelcomBC.ca and the BC Provincial Nominee Program. The Web Content Strategist develops, maintains, and improves digital products with a strong focus on user experience. This position creates innovative content solutions that impact users, translating business needs into a user-focused solution through workflows, user interface design, interaction models and prototypes.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Completion of post-secondary diploma in a field related to the program (e.g. User Experience Design, English, Library Science, Computer Science, etc); OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in practicing user experience design.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in planning and managing web properties including either information architecture, content development and/or interaction design.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience writing and editing plain-language content for web pages that meet user needs.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in project management.
