Job Overview
GeoBC is a key organization responsible for the creation, visualization, analysis and application of resource information to support business areas across the natural resource sector and beyond. This portfolio involves the capture, management, distribution and sales of millions of dollars in data and a commitment to reflecting the needs of users across the natural resource sector in the execution and direction of GeoBC’s mapping and visualization programs.
The Office Manager is a key position in the operation of GeoBC and is responsible for the overall coordination, planning and management of office administrative functions, human resources, payroll, records management, facilities and assets management and oversees the administrative and financial aspects of the Base Mapping On-line Store (BMOS), the RPAS Program Training Program. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is also responsible for supervising two (2) positions.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary School graduation and a minimum of three (3) years related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience must include a combination of the following:
- Experience providing both administrative and financial support services.
- Experience supervising/leading others which includes training staff, establishing priorities and allocating work, appraising performance, etc.
- Experience using eApproval, CLIFF, and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- FOI experience.
Preference may be given to applicants with any of the following:
- Six (6) months’ financial experience with a focus on budget development and forecasting.
- Six (6) months’ experience working with ARCS/ORCS systems.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 1 day a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
