Description

This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Grid 21 base position.

Job Overview
The Training Specialist will develop training programs and courses aligned with new or changed policy, legislation, or standards.  Plans, designs, and administers a variety of training programs and learning activities to meet staff needs and ministry requirements.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Diploma in adult education or a related field; OR a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in either government or the private sector in a training capacity, including training development.
  • Extensive experience of ICM as used in SDPR gained through a minimum of two years practical use in a service delivery role.

Preferences may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Experience with using multimedia development tools such as PowerPoint, Clipchamp or Articulate
  • Within the last four years, have:
    • At least two (2) years experience in a *frontline position at the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction.

*Frontline positions include Employment Assistance Workers (EAW), Quality Compliance Specialists (QCS), Adjudicator, Community Service Workers (CSW), or Community Integration (CI) Specialist
