This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a grid level 12 base position.

Job Overview
To provide support to program management and staff and coordinate office administration functions, human resources, payroll, records management, facilities, and asset management. This position supports and actively participates in creating a strong divisional administrative platform/culture in partnership with the Manager Divisional Operations. 

The Program
The Ministry of Infrastructure leads the province to deliver capital projects that help B.C. communities grow and thrive, including schools, hospitals, student housing, child care centres, primary care facilities, and long-term care facilities. As the lead for capital construction, the ministry works closely with several partner ministries to ensure important cross-government infrastructure projects are coordinated and delivered as efficiently as possible. The ministry also provides government workplace services, including managing government's real estate portfolio, office space inventory, furniture procurement, project and construction management, real estate services, and oversight of government's surplus property sales.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience providing administrative support services for a group of staff with varying demands and expectations.
  • 2 years of experience in word processing using MS Word and Excel.
  • 2 years of experience preparing, formatting, editing, and proofreading confidential correspondence.
  • 2 years of experience utilizing MS Outlook to schedule meetings and manage an executive or senior management calendar.
  • Experience with financial systems, including financial coding and credit card processing.

PREFERENCE MAY BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WITH THE FOLLOWING:

  • Experience with eApprovals
  • Experience with Cliff

About this Position:

This is a temporary opportunity until October 4, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
