The Team
The Accounts Receivable team is a small, dedicated group that values inclusivity and expertise. Established and highly knowledgeable, this team collaborates closely with the Receivables Management Office to manage the Ministry’s receivables through precise monitoring and financial reporting. Together, they make a meaningful impact by ensuring the accuracy and recovery of essential financial assets, fostering a supportive environment where everyone’s ideas matter.
The Role
As a Financial Analyst, you’ll be a trusted leader within the branch, providing valuable guidance on financial policy and procedures that ensure compliance with legislation. Your work will ensure that ministry staff receive necessary training and support with evolving financial initiatives, that benefit citizens across BC, and the related financial procedures. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary School graduation plus formal financial management course work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in accounts receivable or payable in a computerized environment.
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and/or policies.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- CFS/CAS (Corporate Financial System) experience.

About this Position:
This position can be based in any Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
