The Team
This role sits within the Assistant Deputy Minister’s Office (ADMO) and supports both the Strategic Policy and Legislation Branch and the Infrastructure Strategy and Integration Branch. It’s a small but mighty division where you’ll work closely with Executive Directors and colleagues across the division in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The ministry is relatively new (established in November 2024), with most team members joining in early 2025. The team plays a key role as the legislative and policy engine for the Ministry, supporting public infrastructure initiatives across the Schools, Universities, Colleges, Hospital (SUCH) sector.

The Role
This administrative role supports two branches within a small, fast-paced division, including coordinating projects, managing service requests, and maintaining records. It’s a great opportunity to build skills and gain exposure across the division, with opportunities to support projects and engagement work. The role contributes to the Ministry’s work delivering key public infrastructure—like housing, healthcare facilities, and schools—across BC. This is a collaborative, evolving team environment that values flexibility and an all-hands-on-deck approach.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
• Certificate or coursework in project management and six (6) months of related experience providing project management support services; OR
• Secondary school graduation (Dogwood, GED) and one (1) year of related experience providing project management support services; OR
• Evergreen and two (2) years of related experience providing project management support services; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
• Required combination of education and experience.
• Related experience gained in a public service or government environment.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until 12/31/2026. This position may be extended or become permanent.
This position is be based out of Victoria.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
