Job Overview
This position provides project management support services throughout the project management life-cycle (i.e. initiation, planning, execution, control and close out) in consultation with project managers within the BC Parks, Regional Operations Branch.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Experience in word processing and other computer applications such as spreadsheets, and databases.
- Experience providing administrative and financial support services for a group of staff.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
- Completion of courses in project management.
- Completion of courses in procurement.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing financial functions (e.g. reconciliations, purchase card/petty cash management, CAS oracle, processing of invoices).
- Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Minimum of two (2) or more years of experience providing administrative support in an office environment.
Willingness Statements:
- Take on new projects, tasks and training.
- Travel if required.
- Ability to lift/carry objects in excess of 20 lbs up to 20 feet.

About this Position:
There is currently one (1) permanent, full time position available at the BC Parks’ Goldstream Office in Langford.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
