PSCS:The Procurement, Supply and Corporate Services Division (PSCS) provides strategic leadership, governance, and support across key corporate functions that enable effective ministry operations. The division oversees financial and administrative services, including budgeting, risk management, internal controls, and liaison roles with central oversight bodies. It leads ministry-wide planning and performance activities such as enterprise risk management, business continuity, occupational health and safety, and emergency preparedness. CPSD also manages facilities-related coordination to ensure safe, functional office spaces across the province, including ServiceBC locations. In addition, the division drives modernization of procurement and supply services to build capacity, improve supplier access and use government’s purchasing power to advance reconciliation, improve social and environmental outcomes and promote innovation, while overseeing major operational programs such as Asset Investment Recovery, BC Mail Plus, Distribution Centres, the King’s Printer, BC Bid, and the Intellectual Property Program.

Supply Services:provides full-service cross-government (ministries, Crown corporations and in some cases other government-funded organizations) supply chain services, mail services, scanning, digital cheque processing, protocol items, printing, surplus asset disposal, electronic media destruction, warehousing and supply chain services for the province. Supply Services creates capacity for innovation and modernization, to make it easier to work with the existing lines of business, the BC government, and improve processes to deliver valued services.

The Role
This role leads the day-to-day coordination of government surplus asset sales, supports staff, and works with clients and partners to ensure assets are managed, valued, and disposed of in a fair, efficient, and transparent way. The position builds positive relationships with government ministries, public sector organizations, and the public by providing guidance, training, and responsive service, while fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace where diverse perspectives are valued and everyone has equitable access to information and support.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience, education and/or training.
  • Experience with asset management practices, sales and marketing methods applied in a public sector environment.
  • Experience dealing with suppliers, forecasting, trend analysis, cost containment, appraising value of used goods and supplying logistics solutions.
  • Experience using MS Office, including Word and Excel, Internet, basic web site and e-mail.
  • Experience with SAP and Asset Investment Recovery’s set of SAP transactions.
