The Team
The Omineca and Skeena Region LUPCE Team is an established and dynamic team of more than 20 professionals who work together on complex resource stewardship initiatives across Northern B.C. We value diverse perspectives, collaboration, and inclusion, and our team brings together a wide range of skills and experiences to find practical solutions to challenges related to water, land, and resource stewardship. In this role, you will work with colleagues and partners from many backgrounds and sectors, helping to build strong relationships and support healthy, resilient communities and environments for all British Columbians.

The Role
As a Land and Resource Coordinator, you will help develop and implement solutions to complex water, land, and resource stewardship challenges by working collaboratively with diverse teams, First Nations, stakeholders, and partners across sectors. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a natural resource management related field (e.g., Forestry, Geography, or Natural Resource Management) 2 years of related experience; OR
  • A Technical Diploma in a natural resource management related field (e.g., Forestry, Geography, or Natural Resource Management), or an equivalent combination of education/training plus, 3 or more years’ experience working in a natural resource discipline.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A valid B.C. driver’s licence.

Related Experience may include

  • Experience working in the natural resource sector.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or a component (e.g., sub-project) of a major project or regional initiative.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Indigenous groups or governments, and external partners.
  • Experience facilitating groups whose members hold varying interests.

Professional Registration and Certification Requirements

  • Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a fully licensed professional with the British Columbia professional association as required by the specialty area (i.e., Association of Forest Professionals, Institute of Agrologists, Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists).
    Note: “Immediately eligible for registration” means meeting all requirements for full professional registration and completing the process of obtaining full registration with the relevant BC professional association within six (6) months of employment.
