Job Overview
The Communications and Partner Engagement Analyst supports the planning and delivery of communications and engagement activities for ministry initiatives and projects led by the Provincial Priorities Branch. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the position develops and implements communication and engagement plans, prepares a variety of communication materials, and supports change management activities to help ensure successful program implementation.
Working with ministry staff, leadership, Indigenous and community partners, and other stakeholders, the Analyst builds and maintains collaborative relationships, coordinates engagement activities, gathers and analyzes feedback, and provides advice on communication and stakeholder engagement approaches. The position manages communications and engagement projects, develops tools and resources, and supports the consistent delivery of key messages to diverse audiences across the province.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or English, and 3-year related experience; OR
- Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or English, and 5-year related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience may be considered.
Related experience includes the following:

- Experience in public relations, communications or media relations in a large organization.
- Experience in planning and implementing stakeholder relations, engagement and communication strategies.
- Experience in developing communication and engagement materials customised to audience, including web content, social media, videos and other innovative methods.
- Experience coordinating and supporting formal and informal engagement processes or events.
Provisos
- Occasional overnight travel to coordinate and attend major ministry events.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
