Job Overview
The Senior Policy Analyst coordinates and leads the research, analysis, development and implementation of strategic policies and legislation for the Priority Advancement and Indigenous Relations Branch.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, law, economics, social sciences, natural resource management or related field and three (3) years of related experience; OR
  • An equivalent  combination of experience and education may be considered. 

Related experience must include all of the following:

  • Experience in the development of legislation, regulation and policy.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating complex projects/assignments.
  • Experience in concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Indigenous studies, aboriginal law or related field.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities. 
  • Experience working in the Natural Resource Sectors (mining, oil and gas development, electricity and alternative energy)

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work 5 or more days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement.
