This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Grid 30 base position
Job Overview
To provide expert technical oversight, deliver long-term strategic priorities, lead data quality initiatives, and set standards for data administration and the ministry’s data architecture, ensuring integrity for the ministry’s data resource, and making the ministry a leader in managing information for effective business use. To represent the ministry on information management committees, engineer data administration functions, develop policy, stay updated on data management technologies, and may manage multi-year data management projects and approve training strategies.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

Master's degree in a computer science related field and 3 years of related experience; or
-
Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field and 4 years related experience; or
-
Diploma in a computer science related field and 5 years related experience; or
-
Certificate or coursework in a computer science related field and 6 years related experience; or
-
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related Experience must include:
-
Experience in information resource management, corporate data design, data modeling, data analysis, data warehousing and data management principles.
-
Experience in establishing, administration, and continuous development of Azure resources for data and analytics purposes.

Experience supervising staff.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
-
Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in a medallion lakehouse architecture (bronze/silver/gold).

Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Pipelines, Notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2.
-
Experience in applied use of data and analytics libraries for R and Python
-
Experience with SQL development.
