Job Overview
This position will support over-all business continuity across government by working with ministries to promote and monitor business continuity programs to ensure critical services and processes continue to function or are returned to service as quickly as possible in the event of a business interruption.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Disaster and Emergency Management, Disaster Planning, Risk Management, Social Sciences, Business administration, or a related field, AND two (2) years related experience*; OR
- Diploma in Disaster and Emergency Management, Disaster Planning, Risk Management, Social Sciences, Business administration, or a related field, AND three (3) years related experience*; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience must include all the following:
- Business Continuity Planning principles and practices
- Facilitating groups to consensus
- Developing and delivering adult training
- Designing and delivering business continuity exercises
- Application of Project Management principles
Preference may be given to applicants with any of the folowing:
- Business Continuity Planning certification
- Experience with auditing programs and processes
- Experience with crisis management (ICS/BCEMS) principles and practices
Applicants must be able and willing to:
- Work on-call and extended hours during emergency activations.
- Work operational deployments across the province.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
