This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Grid 12 base position

Job Overview
The position is responsible for providing information, primarily over the phone through the FrontCounter BC Contact Centre, to clients of the provincial government’s natural resource agencies.  Other duties include receiving, reviewing and validating incoming applications, as well as general application assistance.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

•    Secondary School graduation or equivalent (for example GED) 
•    Minimum 1 year of experience in an office or office setting
•    Minimum 1 year of experience providing excellent customer/client service in a fast-paced environment
•    Experience working with computers, word processing and database applications in a work or school environment within the last 3 to 5 years
•    Experience providing customer/client service in an adversarial environment
•    Experience applying legislation, regulations or policy within any industry or setting

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following: 
•    2 or more years of experience in an office or office setting
•    Relevant experience, education and/or training in the Natural Resources sector
•    Experience in Natural Resources permit and/or authorizations work
•    Experience in a contact centre or call centre environment
•    Completion of the Certified Service Professional program
