Description
The Team
Connected Services BC – Everyday Life Events (CSBC-ELE)
Connected Services BC (CSBC) is a new organization within the Ministry of Citizens’ Services. CSBC delivers trusted, equitable and connected services for people and businesses in BC. The organization’s key goals are to implement an efficient, responsive, and people-centred technology model by 2028, and that by 2030, every high-impact life event or business interaction in B.C. is accessible as a connected service. CSBC is made up of six divisions that reflect the core components required to deliver connected services across government: Economic Opportunities, Everyday Life Events, Human Supports, Policy Direction, Service BC, Technical Direction
CSBC-Everyday Life Events organizes service delivery around common life moments—such as birth, education, health, changing an address, and paying taxes—rather than programs or organizational boundaries, enabling integrated, human-centred experiences across government. Delivery divisions design services; Life Events Integration ensures services tied to common life moments function as coordinated end-to-end journeys across ministries, enabled by shared platforms and a single digital gateway so people experience simpler, more connected services based on them as people.
Procurement, Supply and Corporate Services (PSCS)
Provides strategic leadership, governance, and support across key corporate functions that enable effective ministry operations. The division oversees financial and administrative services, including budgeting, risk management, internal controls, and liaison roles with central oversight bodies. It leads ministry-wide planning and performance activities such as enterprise risk management, business continuity, occupational health and safety, and emergency preparedness. PSCS also manages facilities-related coordination to ensure safe, functional office spaces across the province, including Service BC locations. In addition, the division drives modernization of procurement and supply services to build capacity, improve supplier access and use government’s purchasing power to advance reconciliation, improve social and environmental outcomes and promote innovation, while overseeing major operational programs such as Asset Investment Recovery, BC Mail Plus, Distribution Centres, the King’s Printer, BC Bid, and the Intellectual Property Program.
