Job Overview
The Regional Support Services Assistant, Finance and Administration, provides budget and accounting services support for Court Services Branch, Court Administration and BC Sheriff Service employees within the Fraser Region.  The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with budget and financial directives and accuracy of payment transactions; timely reporting/request and resolution of facility, communication, and IT needs; and coordination of human resources and other operations support as required. The position is part of the regional executive team, reporting to the Regional Support Services Administrator and the Manager of Finance and Administration.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary School graduation or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in providing accounts payable, financial, administrative and facility support services to team members and program managers with a multi-faceted portfolio.
  • Experience in keyboarding, word processing, spread-sheeting, proof-reading, databases and other standard computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in accounting and budgeting.


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Diploma or certificate in accounting.
  • Experience working with Corporate Accounting System (CAS Oracle) and BI – Oracle Analytical Server (OAS).
  • Experience working with CHIPS and CHIPSRP and TLAM.
  • Experience in records management.

This is a temporary opportunity until 04/28/2028. This position may be extended or become permanent.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
