This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Grid 12 base position

Job Overview
Reporting to the Branch Executive Director or the Regional Director, Resource Stewardship Operations this position provides support to program management/regional management and staff ensuring coordination of all regional administration functions, human resources, payroll, records management, facilities, and asset management.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience providing administrative support services to a group of staff in an office setting.
  • Experience managing an electronic calendar, using Microsoft Outlook, in an office setting (including booking meetings, appointments, and travel).
  • Experience typing, formatting, and proofreading a variety of documents and materials using desktop tools such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness to travel.

Preference may be given to those with one (1) or both of the following:

  • Experience with a natural resource ministry.
  • Experience coordinating financial activities such as, but not limited to, budgets, contract administration, accounts payable, processing purchasing and/or credit card reconciliation while ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.

About this Position:
There is currently one (1) temporary, full time position available to November 26th, 2027.
This temporary opportunity may be extended or become a permanent position.
This position can be based in a Natural Resource Sector office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
Depending on the successful candidate’s location, a bi-weekly isolation allowance may apply.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work four (4) or more days at home per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.

A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
