Job Overview
To provide support to BC Timber Sales provincial operations (PO) management and staff, coordinate office administration functions, provide administrative support related to the BCTS procurement training program, provide a variety of office administrative, secretarial and financial support services, and coordinate the day to day priorities of the Director.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
• Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
• A minimum of one (1) year clerical, administrative or secretarial experience.
• Experience using business English in formatting and proofreading a variety of documents and materials using desktop tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Preference statements
• Two (2) or more years of experience using standard office procedures.
• Experience providing administrative services to a senior manager and other managers, working in a confidential capacity, managing a calendar, making travel arrangements, booking meetings and appointments, and compiling files, correspondence and resource material.
• Experience using manual and electronic filing systems, preparing and managing files and documents.
• Experience or training with ARCS/ORCS and EDRMS.
• Training or experience in basic accounting or bookkeeping such as: monitoring expenditures, coding and processing business expense forms and invoices, reconciling purchase card expenditures; checks accuracy and completeness of financial documentation.
• Experience in contract administration.
• Experience in facilitating virtual meetings.

About this Position:
This position is located in Victoria.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
