The Team
The Robson Square Provincial Court, Court Administration team is an established and highly dedicated group supporting one of B.C.’s busiest Provincial Court locations, where criminal, youth, family, small claims, and traffic matters are heard. Our staff work collaboratively with justice partner where the team provides essential services that uphold professionalism, accuracy, and access to justice for the public.

The Role
The Registry Technician, helps people access court services by reviewing legal documents, ensuring they meet legislative requirements, and providing clear, respectful guidance to clients, legal professionals, and court staff. Working in a diverse and dynamic environment, you'll help make court processes more accessible by treating everyone with fairness, professionalism, and respect while supporting the integrity of the justice system.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Certificate or coursework in a related field and 1 year related experience, or
  • Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 2 years related experience, or
  • Evergreen and 3 years related experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Related Experience includes:
    • Experience working with Court Registry related documentation and processes.
       

Willingness statements

  • Must be able to qualify for signing authority as a Deputy District Registrar or Registrar.

About this Position:
These positions have full time on-site requirements.
There are 2 positions available. There is one temporary opportunity until March 31, 2027 and one temporary opportunity until August 27, 2027.
A permanent appointment may result from these temporary appointments.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
