The Team

Join our Corporate Planning and Priorities work unit within the Business Services Team, a dynamic and newly established group dedicated to developing, managing, and monitoring business services delivery for the Ministry, Division, and Branch. This growing team, currently consisting of a Team Lead and four Business Services Coordinators, excels at navigating emerging priorities and delivering superior time-bound outcomes through a centralized services intake system. You'll collaborate with various professionals, including program areas, IT developments, senior management, and specialists in finance, facilities, and procurement. Our work has a significant impact on the Ministry by fostering positive relationships and tackling complex challenges. We value strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a collaborative spirit to drive both strategic and day-to-day operations effectively.

The Role
As a Business Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the primary intake function for cross-ministry service requests, ensuring efficient and responsive service delivery. You will develop and implement operating procedures that adapt to changing business needs and recommend improvements focusing on quality assurance and optimized outcomes. Your work will directly impact clients by streamlining processes, integrating technology, and enhancing service quality, ultimately boosting client satisfaction. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • A diploma in business administration, public administration, application management, computer science or program related area or equivalent, and two (2) years of *related experience, OR
  • Completion of post-secondary education (certificate) in a related field (business administration, public administration, application management, computer science or program related area or equivalent), and three (3) years of *related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • *Related experience must include all the following:
    • Experience in working collaboratively with various partners on business process change projects.
    • Experience with business applications including user support, data integrity, report generation, administrative functions, troubleshooting and user acceptance testing.
    • Experience in management of the provision of corporate administrative support services, coordinating overall workflow and developing options.
    • Experience working in information management and information technology supporting operations in a client services environment.
    • Experience working with standard office software, email and calendar systems including using Microsoft Office computer applications.
       

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Experience setting up and using JIRA Service Management to centralize service requests.
  • A graduate degree in Computer Science.
  • Four (4) years or more of *related experience.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
This temporary posting is not limited to the geographic area.  Board and lodging and relocation expenses do not apply.
This is a temporary opportunity until February 25, 2028. This position may be extended or become permanent.
