The Team
The Specialized Homes and Support Services (SHSS) Implementation Team is an established, collaborative team leading the implementation of the Specialized Homes and Support Services program across British Columbia. Working alongside colleagues from a variety of backgrounds and areas of expertise, the team is dedicated to supporting the implementation of SHSS to create consistent, high-quality, relationship-based supports that improve the lives of children and youth while strengthening families and communities.
The Role
Senior Advisor, Implementation contributes to the implementation of Specialized Homes and Support Services by coordinating operational readiness activities, solving challenges, building processes, leading working groups, and working closely with partners across the ministry. In this role you will help to implement services that strengthen support children, youth, and families to thrive in their homes and communities, and contribute to a more inclusive, consistent, and high-quality network of care across British Columbia. This position works in a highly dynamic environment on a variety of exciting priorities, balancing multiple competing deadlines while collaborating with dedicated, knowledgeable, and inspiring teams. The work is diverse, meaningful, and offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children, youth, and families.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, public administration, communications, social work or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- 3 years’ experience leading and resolving complex issues, both staff and client.
- 3 years’ experience managing a portfolio of high impact projects / initiatives in a client service environment.
- 2 years’ experience in leading project implementation that have a significant component of change or transformation.
- 2 years’ experience in managing relationships with social sector contracted agencies and key interested parties, including executives.
- 2 years’ experience in the delivery of direct services support and resources planning.
- 2 years’ experience with data analysis and presenting recommendations/outcomes/reports to diverse audiences, including executives.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- 3 years’ experience in the delivery of direct social sector services support and resources planning in MCFD.
- 3 years’ experience in managing relationships with social sector contracted agencies and key interested parties, including executives in MCFD.
- 2 years’ experience solving complex social sector service delivery implementation with organizational change impacts across multiple internal and external bodies.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
This is a temporary opportunity until September 30, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
