The Team
The Reporting and Analytics team is an established, collaborative group within BRASS that provides executive, strategic, and operational reporting to leadership and key partners across the Natural Resource Sector. Working with colleagues at various levels, including analysts, managers, executive directors, and senior leaders, the team delivers data-driven insights that support priority initiatives and important projects across the Ministry. The Role
The Business Reporting Analyst plays an important role in providing reporting and analytics services that help measure, understand, and forecast business processes supporting key operational and strategic priorities across government. In this role, you will work with partners to support the design, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of business applications and reporting solutions that meet both current and future business needs. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master’s degree and six months of related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of related experience; OR
  • Diploma and 2 years related experience; OR
  • Certificate or coursework and 3 years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related Experience may include

  • Experience in working collaboratively with various internal and external partners on business process change projects.
  • Experience with business applications including implementation planning and testing, security, and the development of analytical reports.
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating qualitative and/or quantitative information.
  • Experience using databases to review, edit, and extract data.

Preference may be given to candidates with any of the following:

  • One or more years’ experience working with databases and information.
  • Experience writing SQL and using SQL in databases to extract data.
  • Experience with business intelligence software tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Excel, and/or similar applications.

About this Position:
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
