The Team
The Portfolio Administration team within Thompson Okanagan Region Lands Authorizations is an established, collaborative group that helps ensure Crown land is managed responsibly while supporting communities, public interests, and economic activity. Working alongside four Portfolio Administrators, an Assistant Portfolio Administrator, a Senior Portfolio Administrator, and Authorizations Specialists, you will be part of an inclusive team that values diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and meaningful contributions to land management across the region.

The Role
As a Portfolio Administrator, you will manage a portfolio of Crown land agreements by providing advice, conducting detailed analysis, preparing legal documents, and ensuring agreements are administered accurately and in compliance with legislation and policy. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients and partners, contribute to responsible land stewardship, and support communities, businesses, Indigenous partners, and public service providers in accessing and using Crown land with confidence. In a collaborative and inclusive environment, you will build valuable skills in administration, policy, legal processes, and finance while making a meaningful impact for British Columbians.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field such as legal assistant, public administration or business administration or equivalent.
  • Experience in advising and explaining policies and legislation.
  • Experience reading and understanding legal documents/plans and resource maps.
  • Experience working in a customer service delivery program and dealing with a diverse range of clients and partners.

Preference may be given to:

  • Completion of formal courses in business law, real estate law, contract law or appraisals.
