The Team
The Programs and Services Branch (PSB) delivers centralized services that improve the strategic alignment, efficiency and impact of external-facing services and funding programs. The branch strengthens the Ministry's ability to respond effectively to the evolving challenges facing B.C.'s agriculture and food sector through program administration, design and evaluation, technology integration, sector intelligence, and governance and communications services.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Governance and Communications Services, the Project Analyst supports projects and initiatives that advance branch and ministry priorities through project planning, coordination, research, analysis, and implementation support.
The role focuses on projects that enhance external communications and extension services that support B.C. farmers and food processors. It also contributes to coordination of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (S-CAP), a five-year federal-provincial funding agreement, and preparation for the next agricultural policy framework beginning in 2028.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, public administration, or a related field and
1 year of related experience; OR
• Diploma in project management, business administration, public administration, or a related field and 2 years related experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience managing projects and/or project components.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
• Experience working with the agriculture or food processing industries
• Experience supporting federal-provincial-territorial engagement and/or negotiations.
• Experience supporting communications and external engagement with businesses and industry organizations.

This is a temporary opportunity until 10/30/2027.
