Job Overview
The Project & Contract Administrator provides contract, project management and administration support, financial support services, contract and procurement educational support and advice to the Student Learning Branch. The Project & Contract Administrator administers a wide variety of contracted services including preparing, tendering and administering contracts, provides support services throughout the contract and project management lifecycle (invitation, planning, execution, control and close-out) in consultation with project managers and is directly responsible for assigned portions of larger projects as a project team member. The Project & Contract Administrator ensures expenditures are charged to the correct responsibility centre or project code and that appropriate approvals have been obtained for release of payment. The Project & Contract Administrator also provides administrative services to the Branch, including coordinating meetings, events, meeting material, correspondence and travel; and maintaining records (e.g. records management), financial and correspondence tracking systems.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with contracts and procurement.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience providing support services for project management (including records management and/or administrative support).
- A minimum of 1 year of experience overseeing and coordinating the tracking of contracts and finance.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using CAS or other Government Finance Systems.
- Experience coordinating staff travel.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available, this position may be able to work up to three days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
