The Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) helps regulate and license liquor and non-medical cannabis establishments and events across British Columbia."
The Role
As part of the Licensing Division, the Client Support Agent (CSA) is an integral member of the Client Service Team (CST) and will process licence applications or status change requests for existing licences, and respond to inquiries from government staff, licensing applicants, and other partners through email, Instant Messenger, and over the phone in a call centre environment.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
Acceptable education and experience equivalencies include:
• Post-secondary certificate in a relevant discipline plus a minimum of six (6) months of relevant experience.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience includes the following:
• Administrative, clerical, reception, or financial support service experience in an office or call centre setting.
• Working with the public, either in person or over the phone, to communicate technical or regulatory information clearly.
• Using and maintaining databases, including data entry and generating reports.
• Researching, collecting, and verifying the accuracy or validity of information/data.
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
• Experience providing customer service support in a call centre environment.
• Applying legislation, regulations, or policies.

2 Permanent and 2 Temporary Assignments. Temporary opportunities are until September 1, 2027. These positions may be extended or become permanent.
These positions can be based in any Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 5 days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
