Description
The Team
The Executive Director of Service Office (EDSO) is the central leadership support team for the region. It helps ensure service delivery aligns with ministry priorities and that day-to-day operations run smoothly. The office supports consistent and compliant HR and operational practices and maintains accurate workforce and organizational data.
The Role
The Project Officer provides strategic and operational support to the Executive Director of Service (EDS), Associate Executive Director (AED), and Directors of Operations (DOOs), playing a key role in advancing service delivery across the Service Delivery Area (SDA). This position coordinates cross-functional projects involving HR, finance, and operations, ensuring alignment with ministry standards and priorities. The Project Officer is responsible for tracking project deliverables, timelines, and compliance requirements, while producing accurate reports and documentation. By maintaining strong partner engagement and ensuring accountability, the role enhances the SDA’s capacity to deliver efficient, coordinated, and compliant services.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field and at least 6 months of related experience; OR
- Diploma in a relevant field and at least 1 year related experience; OR
- Certificate in a relevant field or some related coursework and at least 2 years related experience; OR
- Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and at least 3 years related experience; OR
- Evergreen and at least 4 years related experience OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Relevant fields of education may include Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Management, Communications, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Analytics.
Related Experience must include
- Experience providing project management coordination and support.
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
- Experience leading projects and/or project components.
- Experience producing project-related reports; including tracking deliverables, timelines and compliance.
- Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools, such as Power BI.
- Project management training, coursework, or certification.
- Experience supporting senior leaders and/or Executive.
- More years of experience in any of the above required or preferred experiences.
