The Team
FrontCounter BC is the province-wide service hub for natural resource programs in British Columbia and serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking permits, licences, authorizations, and information. The Northeast & Cariboo and Skeena & Omineca regional teams work closely with people, businesses, Indigenous Nations, local governments, and ministry partners to provide accessible, efficient, and client-focused services that help clients navigate government processes and access natural resource services across the province.
The Role
The FrontCounter BC Manager leads the daily operations of either the Northeast & Cariboo Region or the Skeena & Omineca Region, providing leadership to regional service delivery teams and ensuring excellent client service, operational effectiveness, and staff development. This rewarding opportunity supports continuous improvement and modernization initiatives while building strong partnerships across the Natural Resource Sector to enhance the client experience and improve access to government services for British Columbians.

- FrontCounter BC Manager, Northeast & Cariboo Regions, Location: Fort St. John
- FrontCounter BC Manager, Skeena & Omineca Regions, Locations: Smithers or Prince George
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public sector management, public administration or natural resources and three (3) years of related experience* working with the resource sector, customer service delivery programs, and working directly with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training and related experience* may be considered.
*Related experience must include all of the following:
- Experience leading projects and implementing project outcomes to improve business processes and achieve results.
- Staff management experience, including performance and attendance management, scheduling, coaching and mentoring.
- Experience in financial management and human resource management.
- Experience developing and maintaining working relationships and resolving problems with stakeholders in natural resource management or infrastructure development.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- Staff management experience in a union setting.
- Experience delivering FrontCounter BC Services in a complex permitting environment

2 positions available in Fort St John, Smithers or Prince George.
This position requires full-time, in-person work at one of the physical locations listed.
