Job Overview
As a member of the Clean Investment Team, the Policy Analyst plays a role in the development and operation of the Clean Industry Fund which to support British Columbia’s transition to a clean energy, low-carbon economy. This position supports the research, development and processing of industrial policy through all required stages and coordinates the implementation of new policy and program. Work will involve engaging directly with industrial partners and collaborating with ministries responsible for industrial activity and technology research, development and deployment, and British Columbia’s clean technology sector.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, social science, economics, engineering, accounting, public administration, law or equivalent and two (2) years of related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience must include each of the following
- Experience interpreting, analyzing and/or auditing scientific or technical data.
- Experience conducting policy analysis.
- Experience independently managing projects and/or project components.
- Experience establishing collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
Preference may be given to applicants with recent experience (within last 5 years) in any of the following:
- Experience working with industrial operations.
- Experience developing and/or implementing legislation, regulations, policies and/or procedures related to environmental protection, greenhouse gas reporting and/or management.
- Experience developing and/or implementing programs, policies and procedures related to industrial operations.

About this Position:
This position can be based in any Natural Resource Ministry office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This is a temporary/auxiliary opportunity until September 17, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
