The Team
North Fraser Child and Youth Mental Health (NF CYMH) is a well-established and dedicated team providing a range of mental health assessment and treatment services for children and youth (ages 0-18) and their families across Burnaby, New Westminster, and the Tri-Cities. Our services are offered at no cost, helping ensure equitable access to care for those who need it most. The NF CYMH program consists of five community mental health teams and four specialized teams, working collaboratively to support children, youth, and families with diverse mental health needs. In this leadership role, you will provide clinical and administrative supervision to nine teams and work closely with community partners, including Fraser Health and Foundry, to enhance access to services and improve the client experience. You will also play a key role in overseeing contracted services within the community. Our team is committed to reducing barriers to mental health care and strengthening the quality of services available to children, youth, and families. The Role
As Director of Operations, you will lead Child and Youth Mental Health services across the North Fraser region, providing strategic and operational leadership to community and specialized teams while supporting the implementation of provincial programs, policies, and priorities. You will strengthen partnerships with Indigenous communities, service providers, and other stakeholders, foster inclusive and culturally responsive practices, and help ensure children, youth, and families receive accessible, coordinated, and effective mental health supports. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Child and Youth Care, or Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Educational Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or equivalent.

NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must request a comprehensive report and the MCFD supplemental report to be considered for this competition.

Related Experience includes:

• Experience in a supervisory/management position.
• Experience in program and service delivery planning and evaluation.

Preferences:

• Previous experience with CYMH.
• 6 months CYMH Leadership Position.
• Director of Operations experience, including acting.

Other Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain a valid BC class 5 Driver’s licence

About this Position:
There is currently a temporary opportunity available until 02/26/2027.
This position can be based in any of the following MCFD offices: Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Port Moody.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
