The Team
The BC Review Board Registry team is a well-established and integrated group composed of core operational units: Hearing Administration, Scheduling, Intake, Evidence, and Orders & Reasons. Together, these teams ensure the effective coordination and delivery of registry functions, supported by the expertise and leadership of the Deputy Registrar and Registrar. The team is collaborative and works closely with Parties to the proceedings to ensure fair and efficient processes. The Role
Join a team dedicated to excellence and innovation! The British Columbia Review Board is a specialized statutory tribunal established by the Criminal Code of Canada. Public safety is the paramount concern for the Board. The Intake/Evidence Administrator is responsible for receiving, reviewing, validating, and processing submissions and evidence submitted to the Board. This position prepares, distributes, tracks, and maintains hearing notices and evidence disclosure packages; prints and assembles hearing materials; and ensures that all hearing documentation is complete, accurate, and provided within established timelines. performs all duties in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and legislative requirements under Part XX.1 of the Criminal Code of Canada, while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Diploma, Certificate or coursework in a related field and 6 months related experience; or
- Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 1-year related experience; or
- Evergreen and 2 years related experience; or
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and/or policies.
- Working in a client- or customer-service–focused environment, responding to inquiries and providing clear information.
- Roles requiring a high degree of accuracy, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- Experience with Databases, Windows, Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, OneNote and Outlook.
- Preparing, reviewing, or managing records, reports, or other documentation.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Knowledge of documentation management and file organization.
- Typing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to efficiently communicate across multiple channels.
- A high level of attention to detail, particularly when reviewing records, interpreting legislation, and preparing written materials.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage and deal with potentially stressful or disturbing video, photos, documents or other information submitted to the British Columbia Review Board as part of cases managed.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Direct experience working within the BC Review Board intake/evidence process, including assessing and processing incoming cases.
- Direct experience communicating with victims of accused persons under the jurisdiction of the BC Review Board, including handling sensitive information in a trauma-informed and respectful manner.
- Direct administrative support experience in a legal/court registry, administrative tribunal, mental health environment and/or justice sector.
Special Notification:
The position deals with and reviews sensitive, stressful, and potentially disturbing subject matter such as videos, photos, documents, or other evidence submitted to the BC Review Board as part of the initial and ongoing review process.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until approximately January 17, 2028. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
