The Team
The Child Care Strategy, Policy, and Partnerships Branch and the Strategic Expansion and Equitable Access Branch are established, collaborative teams that work together to shape the future of child care in British Columbia. Made up of approximately 10 excluded leaders and 30 included staff. The team of Executive Directors, Directors, Managers, policy analysts, and program managers work together to advance ChildCareBC through innovative policy development, strategic planning, and partnership engagement. Guided by a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, the team values diverse perspectives and works to expand access to affordable, high-quality, culturally responsive, and inclusive child care, helping improve outcomes for children, families, and communities across the province.
The Role
In this role, you will lead branch administration and office operations, ensuring the teams have the resources, systems, and support needed to deliver important work for British Columbians. You will oversee budgets, contracts, purchasing, human resources and payroll processes, records management, and workplace operations, while preparing reports and briefing materials that support effective decision-making.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (such as a GED).
- Experience providing administrative or customer support services.
- Experience in financial procedures/practices.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment with competing priorities.
- Experience providing delegated calendar management support for senior leaders, including scheduling and coordinating meetings.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience in a Public Service administrative role.
- Experience with the CLIFF tracking system, eApprovals and ARC/ORCS records management policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Additional years of experience in any of the above requirements and/or preferences.

About this Position:
