The Team
The Nadina District Tenures and Authorizations Team is an established, collaborative team that plays a critical frontline role in supporting the flow of fiber across the Skeena Region. Working closely with GIS, First Nations, Administrative, Stewardship, and regional authorization teams, this group of six professionals helps process important tenure applications that support sustainable forest management and regional business priorities. The Role
The Senior Authorizations Supervisor plays an important role in supporting clients by providing guidance, training, and clear communication throughout the authorization application process. This position helps individuals, communities, and organizations understand requirements and timelines, ensuring they can navigate processes with confidence and access the information they need to succeed. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Registered with the Forest Professionals BC

Related Experience may include:

  • Experience (field/office) working in natural resource management.
  • Experience in negotiating and consulting with relevant parties in natural resource management.
  • Experience in supervising, leading, coaching, and mentoring staff.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
  • Must meet safety standards of WorkSafeBC.
  • Willing and physically able to conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, overnight or extended stays in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.

About this Position:
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This is a temporary opportunity until February 11, 2028. This position may be extended or become permanent.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.
