The Team
The Certification Team is a collaborative group within the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Registry that supports the certification of early childhood educators across British Columbia. The Role
As an Operations Supervisor, you will provide leadership and oversight to a dedicated team responsible for supporting the certification of early childhood educators across British Columbia. This role combines people leadership, relationship building, and continuous improvement to help ensure services are delivered in a timely, fair, and inclusive manner, while supporting a respectful workplace where employees can learn, grow, and contribute their unique perspectives. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Diploma related to social services, law, public, business administration or a related field plus a minimum 2 years *recent (within the last 5 years) and related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Recent and related experience must include each of the following:
- Supervising, mentoring and leading staff
- Interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and policies in complex situations.
- Interpreting and analyzing information to prepare data driven reports.
- Providing recommendations to senior leadership.
PREFERENCE MAY BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education.
- Early Childhood Educator certification in BC (holds, held or eligible to hold).
- Experience working in professional regulation and/or in a regulatory role responsible for the assessment of an individual’s suitability (character and skills) to work with children.
- Supervisor experience in professional regulation and/or regulatory client service environments.
- Supervisory experience that includes scheduling and performance management.
- Experience with HR Management practices and techniques, labour relations and application of collective agreement.
- Additional years of experience in any of the above requirements and/or preferences.

About this Position:
This position is based in Victoria.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to a few days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.
