The Team
The Investment and Reporting Team is an established eight-person, multidisciplinary team that supports the delivery of the provincial Forest Investment Program and the Integrated Investment Program through project intake, administration, funding allocation, and reporting. Working collaboratively with forestry professionals, project managers, economists, finance experts, and partners across the Ministry, the team helps maximize the value of public investments while supporting effective program delivery and achieving environmental and economic outcomes.
The Role
This leadership role oversees the delivery of provincial forest investment programs, managing funding, contracts, budgets, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure program objectives are achieved across British Columbia. Working with a skilled and collaborative team, the position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for British Columbians, provide strategic advice, and engage in a diverse range of rewarding work in a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a Natural Resource Management discipline and 3 years related experience; OR
- A diploma in Natural Resource Management and 5 years of related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Related experience may include a combination of:
- managing the delivery of a forest investment or land base investment program
- negotiating, managing and monitoring multi-million dollar contracts
- delivering and managing large programs
Preference May Be Given to Candidates With Experience In:
- Budget management
- Supervision of multi-disciplinary staff
- Developing and maintaining working relationships and resolving problems
- Preparing communications, briefing notes and presentations for executive
- Preparing submissions to Treasury Board

Flexible work options are available. This position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
