The Team
The Business Initiatives Team is an established and innovative team that supports the Provincial Centralized Screening (PCS) 24/7 child protection centre by providing workforce management, business systems support, data analysis, training, and operational planning. Comprised of project assistants, business application analysts, program evaluation analysts, and led by the Business Innovation Manager, the team works closely with social workers, support staff, team leaders, directors, and technology partners to ensure critical services run smoothly and effectively.

Through data-driven recommendations, business process enhancements, and technology solutions, the team plays an important role in supporting efficient child protection services that help improve outcomes for children, youth, and families across British Columbia.

The Role
In this role, you will support business operations through data analysis, reporting, process improvement, and the development of innovative technology solutions that help strengthen services for children, youth, and families across British Columbia. Working extensively within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, and Power Automate, you will create tools and automate processes that improve efficiency, support informed decision-making, and enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field with two years related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may be considered. The duration of each experience may vary, but must include all experience statements listed below.
  • Experience in analyzing and evaluating program performance.
  • Experience with workforce modelling, management and/or analysis of workforce trends.
  • Experience in data monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience in writing a variety of documents, such as briefing materials and/or, reports and/or, recommendations and/or presentations.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience in supporting enhancements of technical platforms or providing training on technical platforms.
  • Experience using Teleopti or other scheduling platforms.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement
