The Team
The Tribunal & Agency Support Division (TASD), within the Justice Services Branch, is the Ministry’s specialized support organization for tribunals and independent offices. Our established team of approximately 30 professionals brings together governance expertise, operational support, business transformation, and technology services to help tribunals deliver fair, independent, and efficient justice services to British Columbians. Working closely with the Justice Services Branch headquarters administrative team, TASD is collaborative, adaptive, innovative, and committed to public service and access to justice. The team works alongside Executive Directors, Directors, Tribunal Support, Business Systems and Development, project directors, ADMO, and administrative professionals to enable tribunals, agencies, and independent offices to operate effectively, efficiently, and consistently.
The Role
This position provides a variety of office administrative and secretarial support services to the Executive Director and team, while also providing administrative overflow support across the Justice Services Branch. Key responsibilities include managing correspondence, formatting and proofreading a wide range of documents, monitoring and actioning generic inboxes, and supporting onboarding activities. As a key connection point within the team, this role helps bring staff together and provides broad exposure to the work of the division and the justice sector. Candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of justice sector professionals, gain valuable insight into how tribunals operate, and support both leadership and front-line staff in their day-to-day activities. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation (Grade 12) or equivalent (GED).
- Experience typing, formatting, and proofreading a variety of documents and materials using desktop tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience managing deadlines and prioritizing multiple concurrent tasks.
- Experience managing an electronic calendar. (e.g. booking meetings and appointments)
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
- Experience supporting executive and senior management.
- Experience with files/records management.

About this Position:
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 2 days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
