Description

The Team
The Immigration Programs Branch (IPB) works with communities, employers, and partners across BC to support immigration pathways that meet regional needs. The team shares information, provides referrals, and delivers programs like the BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in a way that is clear and accessible. Different perspectives and experiences are valued to better serve people from a wide range of backgrounds. The CMS Application Advisor represents the BC PNP program in the design, testing, development and ongoing implementation, enhancement and maintenance of the business applications that meets current and future business needs.

The Role
As a key representative of the BC PNP program, this role helps ensure business applications and processes meet current and future program needs by working with staff, technology partners, vendors and other stakeholders to identify improvements and develop practical solutions. The role leads business process reviews, system enhancements, testing, implementation, troubleshooting and training, while ensuring applications and information management practices align with legislation, policy and program goals. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, analytical skills and an inclusive approach that values diverse perspectives and supports accessible, effective services for employees, clients and partners.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • A diploma in Business IT, User Experience Design, Computing Science, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with various partners on business process change involving automation.
  • Experience with business applications including implementation planning and testing, security and the development of analytical reports.


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience tracking and reporting data.
  • Experience collaborating and building relationships.
  • Experience in Immigration policy or programs.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until June 30th, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
