Description

The Team
The $10 a Day Team works together to support the delivery of one of British Columbia’s key child care initiatives, helping child care providers access funding and administer program requirements that make child care more affordable and accessible for families across the province. As part of this established team of approximately 25 staff, you will collaborate closely with Program Support staff, Client Relations Coordinators, Operations Supervisors, and other program professionals who share a commitment to responsive service and effective program delivery. The Role
As a Program Support Clerk, you will provide administrative and operational support for the $10 a Day ChildCareBC program by responding to provider inquiries, maintaining records and tracking systems, entering and verifying data, and supporting the administration of funding agreements and program activities. You will work closely with child care providers and team members to deliver accurate, timely information and ensure providers have the support they need to participate successfully in the program. Through your work, you will help strengthen access to affordable, high-quality, and inclusive child care across British Columbia while contributing to a collaborative, service-focused environment that values respect, diversity, and positive relationships.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience providing customer service over the phone and by email.
  • Experience working in an office setting providing administrative services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and database applications.

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

  • Experience working in a call centre environment.
  • Post-secondary education or training in business administration.
  • Experience working in the child care sector providing administrative services.
  • Additional years of experience in any of the above experience requirements and/or preferences.

About this Position:
Three (3) positions available.
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
