The Team
The BC Online Help desk is a close-knit team that assists citizens with day-to-day support, via phone and email, in filing transactions for multiple data partners. We work to resolve any issues by providing step-by-step guidance, troubleshooting, and fixing problems when required. If you are interested in a challenging, multi-faceted, fast-paced position, this would be a good fit.
The Role
The Client Support Analyst provides both first and second tier problem resolution without further escalation for technical, software, application, and security support for BC OnLine end-users from both public and private organizations that are involved in economic activities such as corporate undertakings, court services online filing, personal property liens and registrations, etc. The support analyst is also involved in the quality assurance of both data partner and BC OnLine applications.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Certification in Computer Science, Information technology or a related field, plus one (1) or more years’ experience. Or, a combination of education and experience, plus two (2) or more years’ experience.
- Experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment and/or helping end users to use and understand computer hardware and software.
- Experience in providing support using scripted materials in multiple environments and organizing documented evidence.
Preference statements
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in supporting the following information technologies: Windows; MAC; iOS and Android environments and associated web browsers.
- Experience in Problem Tracking systems.
- Previous experiences in a government frontline digital help desk.
- Experience with BC Online and BC Registry users.

This is a temporary/auxiliary opportunity until March 25, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
