The Team
The Warehouse General Asset Team is a well-established team of 8 to 10 employees responsible for receiving, processing, and preparing items for auction in accordance with established standards. Team members work closely with Front-End Listing Staff, Reception Staff, and the Vehicle Team to support efficient auction operations.

This is a dynamic, hands-on environment where adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are valued. The team's work plays a key role in ensuring assets are accurately prepared and ready for sale. What stands out most is the team's ability to collaborate and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high standards.

The Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for facilitating the accurate, timely, effective and safe flow of government surplus assets; provides training and direction to staff regarding processes and procedures; assist in resolving operating issues; promotes adherence to organizational values and standards; and provides coverage for all areas of supervisor activities as required.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of Auction House experience.
  • Minimum 2 years stores / warehouse or related experience and experience with computerized asset management system.
  • Must have current WCB Forklift Certificate and experience in forklift operation.
  • Experience in materials handling equipment.
  • Experience with the practices and procedures involved in receipt and disposal of surplus assets in an auction house.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with SAP business systems.
  • Experience driving 3- and 5-ton trucks with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Experience using computer applications (such as SAP, databases, electronic mail, spreadsheets and word processing) to enter and retrieve data and create and edit databases.
