The Team
You will join the Strategic Partnerships, Indigenous Relations and Innovative Transformation (SPIRIT) team within the Development and Partnerships Branch, a collaborative group that advances British Columbia’s housing priorities through strategic partnerships, intergovernmental engagement, and Indigenous relations. Working across the Ministry, the BC Public Service, federal partners, First Nations, and external stakeholders, you will help support key housing initiatives, strengthen relationships, and coordinate efforts that improve housing outcomes for people across British Columbia.
The Role
As the Project Coordinator, you will provide research, policy analysis, coordination, and project support to advance the Ministry’s intergovernmental housing priorities. You will support senior leaders and cross-government initiatives by coordinating meetings and materials, monitoring emerging housing policy developments, preparing briefing products, and helping improve internal processes that enable the SPIRIT team to deliver effective and timely results.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, planning, social sciences (research-oriented degree), project management or other related degree and one (1) year of related* experience; OR
- Diploma in business administration, public administration, planning, social sciences (research-oriented degree), project management or other related degree and three (3) years of related* experience; OR
- Certificate in business administration, public administration, planning, social sciences (research-oriented degree), project management or other related degree and four (4) years of related* experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and related* experience may be considered.
*Related experience must include all of the following:
- Experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.
- Experience providing project management and coordination services for assigned projects.
- Experience working effectively with multiple projects and assignments.
- Experience preparing briefing notes, policy proposals and issue papers.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience in the social and market housing sector, residential construction/development industry and/or real estate.
- Experience with local government development approval processes, construction cost estimation, property appraisal techniques, development pro formas, and/or rental property management.
- Formal project management training, including applicants who have, or are working towards a Project Management Professional Designation.
- Applicants who self identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).

About this Position:
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to five (5) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement and operational requirements.
This is a temporary/auxiliary opportunity until September 7, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.
