Description
The Team
The Ministry of Infrastructure oversees the planning and delivery of capital projects that support growing communities and improve quality of life across British Columbia. These projects include schools, hospitals, student housing, child care centres, primary care facilities, and long-term care homes. The ministry provides leadership in coordinating complex, cross-government infrastructure initiatives to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. The division also leads policy development initiatives and supports the acquisition and disposition of properties for public schools, post-secondary institutions, and healthcare facilities.
The Role
The Policy Analyst contributes to the development, evaluation, and implementation of strategic policies, legislation, regulations, and related processes. The role involves conducting research and analysis, developing policy options, preparing briefing materials and recommendations, and coordinating stakeholder engagement and consultation activities. The position also leads policy initiatives by managing project teams, facilitating consultations, and producing key documents, including briefing notes, reports, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Master’s degree and 1 year of *related experience; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of *related experience; OR
- Diploma and 3 years *related experience; OR
- Certificate or coursework and 4 years *related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Related experience must include the following:
- Experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.
Preference may be given to candidates with one (1) or more of the following:
- Related experience gained in a public service or government environment.
- Experience developing and coordinating legislative materials.
- Experience planning and coordinating legislative or regulatory consultation.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available, this position may be able to work up to four days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This is a temporary opportunity until October 20, 2027 with the possibility of extension and/or the position becoming permanent.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and temporary vacancies.
