Description
The Team
The Research & Analysis unit is a small team of data-minded research and policy officers and economists. We provide data, research reports and other evidence to the Ministry, to the 25 post-secondary institutions in BC and other partner organizations to support their work.
The Role
The BC Student Outcomes Program Coordinator is responsible for the continued operation and coordination of The BC Student Outcomes Survey Program, a long-standing research program that is administered by BC Stats in partnership with the Ministry and 25 public post-secondary institutions. This role is the main secretariat function for the BC Student Outcomes Program. As such, the role is a key interface between the Ministry, BC Stats and the 25 public post-secondary institutions. Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating meetings, moving along key action items, participating in working groups to advance the program goals and preparing research reports and supporting work for the program.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in social science, statistics or economics, or a related field and 2 years of related experience; OR
• Diploma in social science, statistics or economics, or a related field and 3 years related experience; OR
• Certificate or coursework in social science, statistics or economics, or a related field and 4 years related experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum of one year experience planning and coordinating large-scale, multi-partner projects.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience with working with diverse stakeholders, survey projects and/or data visualization.
Related experience includes the following:
• Experience in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
