Description

The Team
The Labour Market and Immigration Analysis unit creates and maintains immigration and labour market information products and services. The unit provides subject matter expertise and advice to support immigration and labour market planning, decisions and investments within the Labour Market Development and Immigration Division, other ministries, as well as by employers and individuals. 

The Role
The Economic Analyst will be responsible for immigration analysis and reporting functions, including managing and responding to data and analysis requests. The Economic Analyst will support the senior immigration economist as required. The Economic Analyst will provide interpretation of data and analysis for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences; develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders; provide advice to policy and program areas; and monitor trends. 

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or directly related field, or equivalent.  
•    At least six (6) months’ experience conducting economic and statistical analysis.
•    Experience working with data analysis and data visualization software (i.e. R, Power BI). 
•    Preference may be given to candidates with:
     o    A Master’s Degree in Economics or directly related field.
     o    At least one (1) year experience in the above experience requirements. 
     o    Experience working with immigration data.
